Sustainable Studio Design - ‘Moment in somewhere’

The intention of this assignment is to design a sustainability studio of ‘moment in somewhere’ for Alvar Aalto. The studio is designed based on his architectural strict rules; functionalism and naturalism. The studio will be located in Macedon where it is surrounded by many trees and nice scenery. For that, the studio is designed to have many openings for Aalto to enjoy the mount Macedon greenery scenery in any section of his studio. The natural lighting that comes in through the openings casting shadows in the interior will give a different sense of moment in somewhere

The studio is placed in between the existing hedge on the site which is at the Christian Street, Mount Macedon. The hedge acts as a barrier separating the north and south, ensuring maximum privacy for Aalto. The compound behind the studio facing the north will ensure that Aalto would enjoy a lot of privacy
